SECZim shall conduct the following activities during World Investor Week 2023:

Capital Markets High Schools Quiz 2023
The Capital Markets High Schools Quiz was launched last year. SECZim is again, part of the adjudication Committee for this year’s Capital Markets High Schools Quiz. SECZim also coordinated the capital market resulting in some SMIs participating by way of sponsorship. One capital market player is the headline sponsor for the quiz, while two others are sponsors at different levels.

Investor Conference
SECZim in partnership with some key stakeholders shall host an inaugural investor conference which seeks to provide a platform for the capital market stakeholders to discuss pressing and longer-term market issues.

Innovation Hub
The GEM Portal is designed to assist small enterprises to raise capital, where a virtual meeting place is provided for entrepreneurs to meet fund managers and where entrepreneurs can receive technical assistance to prepare them for growth. Meetings around this initiative are ongoing. The GEM portal is being considered for possible use as a financial inclusion SME innovation hub under the National Financial Inclusion Strategy II (2022-2026).

Sustainable investment for Tobacco Growers
SECZim in collaboration with the tobacco regulator and key players is planning awareness programmes for tobacco farmers for them to begin investing sales proceeds on the stock market, among other sustainable practices.
