To be part of the IOSCO World Investor Week campaign for the fifth consecutive year, the SEC Thailand is going to launch Thailand's 2021 campaign during the week of November 11-17 under the theme “Investment Literacy for New Gens”. During this important week, we plan to organize various activities to reiterate our intention to reach out to various target audience. Our focus this year is on younger generations with a view to raising awareness among this target group about the importance of starting financial and investment planning at a younger age, so that the life-long financial goals can be achieved more comfortably. This year's campaign will comprise, among other things, the following activities. 1. A virtual seminar “Young Investor Day” which aims to encourage generation z, mainly university/college students, to see the importance of acquiring basic knowledge about financial and investment planning so that they can be well-prepared to manage their money wisely before entering the workforce. Key messages to be conveyed include knowledge about investment tools, including new products such as digital assets, and how to make investment prudently. Communication channels of this event will be mainly via digital and social media. 2. Online lectures and workshops for approximately 100 students on the topics relating to “personal finance” so that they can learn how to manage their spending, save money and invest to make the money grow. 3. Financial management and investment tips for new gens to be promoted through the SEC social media and various communication channels throughout the week. This year's campaign is another confirmation of the SEC's commitment to enhancing financial and investment knowledge of the Thais and to continuously promoting the significance of the IOSCO World Investor Week in Thailand.
