Lead Organization: Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários (CMVM)

This year´s WIW Portugal edition will run from the 2nd to the 10th of October.

As in previous editions, the CMVM will be organizing multiple events with the cooperation of 13 partners that include the financial regulators, financial associations, the CFA Society, the Portuguese Stock Exchange (Euronext Lisbon), the Portuguese Consumer Association (DECO), and the Confederation of the Portuguese Industry (CIP). For the first time in 2023, the Portuguese Fiscal Authority (AT) and General Direction of Education (DGE) will be CMVM´s partners at WIW.

This year WIW focus will on the importance of saving, namely saving through capital markets and digital investment, and the many phenomena that result from it, such as fin influencers, digital fraud, neo brokers among others. We also be addressing inflation and investor resilience as well as sustainable finance.

For the last five years and resulting from an internal idea contest we have the WIW slogan that we attach to all our communications. In 2023, the slogan is “Saving for the future, investing with innovation”.

Unlike previous years the events currently under planning will have a strong physical profile, with same via digital channels. As in 2022, all the events can be followed on our WIW dedicated website (www.smiportugal.pt) and most of them watched live through its YouTube channel.

The program is currently underway, but we can announce two live sessions in major universities and several small videos to be broadcasted by national television about the current macro situation (inflation and interest rate raise).

Once again, we will be working with the Portuguese National Financial Education Plan (PNFF) that will be holding two digital events, a webinar in cooperation with the Ministry of Education targeting teachers about investment through digital channel, rewards, and risks and one with the Ministry of Economy about digital channels and cybersecurity.

All events will be accessible through our dedicated website www.smiportugal.pt and our YouTube channel. The WIW messages will be disseminated on CMVM’s and its 13 partners' social networks, throughout the week.

A edição 2023 da WIW Portugal, vai acontecer entre 2 e 10 de outubro.

Á semelhança de edições prévias a CMVM organizará múltiplos eventos com a ajuda e cooperação de 13 parceiros onde se incluem os reguladores financeiros, as principais associações do setor financeiro, a bolsa (Euronext Lisbon), a Associação Portuguesa de Defesa do Consumidor (DECO) a Confederação Industrial Portuguesa (CIP) e o CFA Society. Em 2023 teremos pela primeira vez, a Autoridade Tributária (AT) e a Direção Geral de Educação (DGE) como parceiros da WIW.

Este ano a WIW Portugal irá focar-se sobre a importância da poupança, concretamente da poupança através do mercado de capitais e no investimento digital, bem com um conjunto de fenómenos associados, a saber; fin influencers, fraude digital, neo brokers entre outros. Abordaremos ainda o impacto da inflação sobre o investimento e as finanças sustentáveis.

Tal como nos últimos 5 anos, a CMVM terá um slogan WIW que resulta de um concurso de ideias interno, em 2023 o slogan é “Poupar para o futuro, investir com inovação”. Este slogan é colocado em todas as comunicações relacionadas com a WIW.

Ao contrário dos últimos anos, os eventos em planeamento terão uma forte componente física, com apenas alguns via canais digitais. Tal como em 2022, todas as iniciativas poderão ser seguidas no site dedicado da WIW (www.smiportugal.pt) e a grande maioria visualizados través do seu canal Youtube.

O programa está em desenvolvimento, mas podemos anunciar duas sessões/live em duas importantes universidades portuguesas e vários vídeos a ser gravados e emitidos pela televisão nacional com foco na atual situação macrofinanceira (subida de inflação e taxas de juro).

Um ano mais, trabalharemos com o Plano Nacional de Formação Financeira (PNFF) que será responsável pela organização de dois eventos digitais (webinars), um em colaboração com o Ministério da Educação para professores sobre investimento digital, vantagens e riscos e um segundo com o Ministério da Economia sobre canais digitais e cibersegurança.

Todas as iniciativas poderão ser vistas no nosso website dedicado www.smiportugal.pt e no seu canal Youtube. As mensagens da WIW serão disseminadas nas redes sociais da CMVM, bem como nas redes sociais dos 13 parceiros durante a semana.
