Public awareness campaign that will include a daily column on a finance-related topic with a consumer protection focus for the rest of this week in a local paper and a ‘pop-in centre’ where information will be available for members the public.
In addition, we are taking the opportunity of the timing of World Investor Week to launch the GFSC’s consumer education programme - “Moneywise”. Moneywise will focus on consumer education and financial literacy, aiming to raise awareness and improve understanding of financial matters, and increase financial literacy at all stages of life.
Kicking off in October will be a programme of delivery in local schools as well as the launch of a dedicated website that is intended to be user-friendly, simple, easily-accessible and navigable, and will help individuals to be wise with their money.
